This is the 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop Customizing Kit by AMT.

The 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop Customizing Kit originally was released in 1959. Based on a dealer promotional model kit, Since that time, the AMT 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop Customizing Kit has been reissued and modified ten times.

This time around, the 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop Customizing Kit includes revised box art and includes a faithful reproduction of the original 1959 decal sheet.

There are three ways to build this model kit. The first is the "Direct from the Chrysler Factory" 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop. All the factory stock parts to build this version are included in the kit, with the exception of the engine and transmission and all the under-hood details. You will use the factory stock universal chrome pieces, such as the bumpers, wheel rings and hub caps. The car rides on four skinny Firestone tires, which are the only tire option in this kit.

In the custom street coupe version, AMT gives you louvers, aerials, mirrors, spotlights, fender skirts, roll bar, moon discs, lowering blocks, lake pipes, scoops, tail pipe extensions, landau roof, rear deck spare, continental kit, and custom fins.

The AMT 1959 Chrysler Imperial Hardtop Customizing Kit is one of the all time favorite kits which is easy to build and goes together well and I am glad that AMT has re-released it once again under Model King.
